Some 25 km north of Graz, in the wide Semriach basin, is Austria’s largest active river cave – the Lurgrotte Semriach.
The 5 km long cave system is home to various tufaceous limestone formations and stalactites of unique beauty along with powerful rocky domes and underground forges.
